On February 10, 2023 the Garlic Team rescued a 1947 Peterbilt from the Tehachapi junk yard. The truck was a three axle conventional truck tractor which was connected to a homemade end dump trailer which worked using the truck’s winch.

The truck hadn’t moved for forty years or more and had several trees growing through the frame, around the winch and through the fuel tank and cab.

We used the 966 to disconnect the trailer and push it to the side. Then, we used the 966 to lift the truck, uprooting the tree. We had to hold the truck up at about a forty five degree angle while Darren crawled underneath and used a chainsaw to remove the tree stump and roots.

After that, we set the truck back down and were able to tow it out, load it up and remove it.
