Good tidings to all this early October day. I hope you all have had a successful year to date and have enjoyed the multiple opportunities to attend local and distant shows. Yellow Power has been active at several venues this year including Tulare and Santa Margarita, CA, Canandaigua, NY and Portland, IN. Our local chapters have also participated in shows within their geographic areas. As always, it is great to attend and revisit with our many friends.

Our attendance at some events have been met with “interesting” conditions. The show in Canandaigua coincided with the northern sweep of post-tropical storm Debby, resulting in a washout day on Thursday with 3 to 5 inches of rain. Most vendors closed shop before 2 p.m. and waited for better weather the next day. Conversely, the Portland show was held on 4 spectacularly clear temperate days with great attendance. With the help of our chapters, the show season has expanded our presence and we have enjoyed membership growth.

We have been working behind the scenes to augment our website and we are proud to announce that our Yellow Power eStore* is now online. We are proud of all the hard work that went into the creation of the platform. From hats and apparel to models and restoration parts, there is a lot to see, so please check it out and help support our efforts. *Hint - It’s never too early to start your holiday shopping!

With the upcoming 100th anniversary of Caterpillar, we are formulating our plan to assist and attend several shows or events in 2025. Keep your eyes to these newsletters or our website for more news. You can also email or phone if you are interested in joining or forming a local chapter.

I hope your upcoming fall season brings you bountiful harvests, cool days to turn a bladeful and warmth.
