Traveling in a new Cat Excavator with a joystick.....

If you have ever operated a hydraulic excavator, you know that to track the machine you use the foot pedals to go forward, backward, and to steer.  Well Cat has a new feature in their new line of excavators called stick-steer.  With the push of a button the travel controls move from the foot pedals to the left hand joystick.

It is a pretty handy feature. It sure makes the blade much more user friendly. Almost feels just like a skidloader

Thanks for the feed back, I too agree it is a pretty slick feature, and yes on a machine with a blade you can sure make short work of backfilling.  Looks like your profile picture has the result board from the global operators challenge in it? You must have competed!! Congrats on your results.
